Kilfitt 400mm f4 w/ stock
This an offering of an excellent condition Kilfitt 400mm f4 Sport Fern Kilar with choice of mount for Alpa or Exakta. This is a all black newer style lens with a rapid focusing system, it is not the older version with the f5.6 aperture. This lens comes with rapid focusing handle, shade and original Kilfitt case, also included is the Kilfitt shoulder stock. Considering its age, overall this lens is in excellent condition. The coated glass is clear and free of any haze and abrasions, just a couple of small coating spots on front elements, and some balsam lines at the very edge of element, only a 1/4" into the glass (please see pictures) both issues are very small and does not have any effect no the optical quality of the image. The lens is 6.25lbs., over all length of 18 3/4" with the lens shade, min. focusing distance of 15', pre-set aperture of f4-f45, clean aperture blads. A locking rotating tripod mount with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" threads. Left or right handed focusing via knobs or handle. Interchangable mounts, can be used on digital cameras with the appropriate adapters. I have two camera mounts for this lens, winner has the choice of Alpa or Exakta/Topcon, other mounts available on E bay. Please note the camera pictured are not included in he offering.

Voigtlander 36-82mm f2.8 Zoomar lens
Voigtlander 36-82mm f2.8 Zoomar, Exakta mount + cap – no reserve
This landmark lens was designed by Frank G Back (1902-1983) and introduced in 1959. It was the first production zoom lens for a still camera. Dr Back’s company had previously produced zoom lenses for 16mm & 35mm movie cameras but this design was the first production zoom lens for a still camera. The optical quality of these lenses is surprisingly good, distortion at extreme focal lengths being the only notable criticism. “Looking back today, it's amazing how much he got right from the start. Dr. Back succeeded in obtaining a very useful wide to short tele zoom range, with a fast 2.8 aperture and a convenient single zoom control ring” kilfit.org website This particular Exakta mount example is unusual. On other examples I’ve seen (and others you’ll find illustrated on the Internet), a special cable release is required to operate the iris mechanism. On this version, the shutter release is linked to the iris with a mechanical linkage. This is a much neater design than the cable release one. I can find no reference to this version either in print or on the Internet but the quality of the linkage mechanism is such that I’m sure it’s factory produced. I can only assume that this design improvement is a later version. The Zoomar is not difficult to find in Bessamatic/Ultramatic fit but very rare with an Exakta mount. This particular version is even rarer and is the only example known to me.

Parvola 4 x 6,5-Kamera auf 127er Film
Ihagee Dresden Parvola 4 x 6,5 cm, #474150.
