These rare finders were marketed c.1961 for the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the Kine Exakta. This particular example is in excellent condition with signs of light use only. It’s fitted with a split-image rangefinder screen that has some minor marks but is perfectly useable.

Exa 35mm SLR camera No. 205768 with Pin flash sockets and synchronization marked M and X. In working order with average cosmetics. Shutter marked B,25,50,100 & 150. Lens is E. Ludwig 50mm f2.9 Meritar lens No. 777696 and has marks and internal dirt and/or fungus. The pentaprism is a Sperling (rare!) and is made in Germany. Eveready case has two birds embossed on back.

Carl Zeiss Jena Aufsatzprisma 1916 (1936!) für Kine Exakta. Seltenes Zeiss Prisma für Kine-Exakta. Wird auf den Lichtschacht aufgesetzt. Scheint etwas unbeholfen nachlackiert zu sein, ansonsten in gutem Zustand mit Gebrauchssuren, besonders an Unterseite. Glaseinsatz gut (meistens gesplittert), Einschwenklupe funktioniert.

Here a collection of the three major metered prisms made for the Exakta/Exa cameras:
First is the Travemat, manufactured by A Schacht in Ulm starting in 1966. This particular specimen, serial number 423189, represents A&R’s version 2 and is in excellent condition. It was powered by a single PX-13 (PX 625) mercury cell (not included), giving a voltage of 1.35V. Since mercury cells are no longer made, the zinc oxide Weincell MRB-625 should work.
Second is the Examat, first introduced a couple of years later by Harwix in West Berlin. This specimen, serial number 14718, is in good condition; the major flaws are that the paint is pitted on the back and sides, there is a chip off the back edge, and the view-window shows extensive cleaning marks. The battery (not included) setup was the same as the Travemat, so the MRB-625 again should work.
Third is the Ihagee cell prism/viewfinder. This used a selenium cell meter; all operations were manual—once a reading was determined with the meter, the operator had to make the appropriate lens settings. This example, serial number 160194 is in very good cosmetic condition with two exceptions—first, the cell cover has a tendency to fall off and will require some delicate work to get it to stay; second, the small leatherette patches are loosening at the edges so they should all be removed, cleaned, and reglued.
Due to the age of these metered prisms, and that I have not tested any of them, they are offered “as-is” for display.

This is a rare meter prism for an Exakta or Exa SLR in mint condition. It will fit any model of the Varex range that has an interchangeable viewfinder. It offers TTL metering for the Exakta. It is made by Harwix in Berlin, & interestingly is badged as a TTL-Prisma, rather than as an Examat as marked on the box.
It has a neat little CdS exposure meter built into a conventional prism unit. It takes PX625 type batteries that are easily obtainable, & a new battery is fitted. It seems to be working ok, & the readings are accurate. You see the needle in the viewfinder & adjust the dial on top until the pointer is in the balanced centre position. Then read off the scales.

Interessante ed inusuale accessorio della Exakta, si tratta del visore stereo "Stereflex" e di un prisma per fotografie stereo a distanza ravvicinata, direi questo forse più raro del visore. Il visore Stereflex si inserisce al posto del prisma o del pozzetto, il prisma si avvita davanti all'obiettivo e permette di riprendere da 15 cm a 2 metri. Si usa con obiettivi da 50mm con passo filtri 49mm. Per foto da 2 metri in all'infinito è necessario un'altro prisma.
